It’s official! WWD confirmed it! Rihanna is the new model for Dior‘s new campaign becoming the first black woman to sign the deal. EPIC! Specially considering the fact that fashion industry is notorious for its narrow mindedness when it comes to diversity.
As mentioned in other post Case Study: Rihanna as a Brand, it’s not the first time the Grammy Award-winning singer inks a deal in fashion industry. She has already graced a campaign for Balmain and was recently named a creative director at Puma. And now she is a Dior Girl.
What can we expect?
The Bad Gal will star in the fourth episode of Dior’s “Secret Garden” video series in which models wear Dior last collection while walking around the palace of Versailles. The third installment has logged more than nine million views on Dior’s official YouTube channel…
Riri will also appear in the print campaign.
Both the film and print campaign were shot this week by Steven Klein in Versailles. As Dior told WWD exclusively, the campaign is scheduled to run this spring.
The Bajan popstar is also working on her upcoming eighth album, R8 . She already teased 3 of the songs but we still have some time to wait for.
